API is a not-for-profit membership organisation that channels any benefits directly to you. API charges a small membership fee of just $9.75 per month to cover administrative fees. If you spend just $250 per month at major food supermarkets alone, your membership fee will be covered. As an average family spends over $1,200 per month on food, there are considerable savings to be enjoyed just on food, and then there are over 400 other retailers to consider as well. API has been servicing members for over 100 years.

API also owns holiday properties in some great locations. These holiday facilities are available to members at usually around 20-30% below the normal market price, so our members love them.

API was started to look after the social, emotional and training needs of staff within the PMG. The PMG was later split into Telecom and Australia Post. Later Telecom was rebranded to become Telstra. While API still counts many Australia Post and Telstra staff as members, API remains an independent organisation open to all members of society.
